Saturday 27th October 2018
4.30pm - 9pm
With Philip Martyn, Dr Sue Peat, Fabian Lochner (Piano) & Christopher Kidman (speaker)
At this time of the year those who have died are particularly close to us, and we to them. The festival will begin with a workshop led by Philip and Sue where we will approach the question ‘What happens when we die?’
This will be followed by an evening of music and poetry dedicated to those who have crossed the threshold of death. Fabian and Christopher will interweave excerpts from Philip Glass’s evocative Etudes for piano with poetry by Shakespeare, Tennyson, W.B.Yeats and others.
Philip Martyn is a retired lawyer and has previously served as co-general secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain. Sue Peat is a medical consultant with a specialist interest in pain relief. Fabian and Christopher are experts at leading people into musical and poetic experience.
Donations welcomed at the door.
