Michaelangelo’s thirty years established him as the greatest sculptor of his age and perhaps of any age. The period culminates in the Pieta which can be seen now in St Peter’s in Rome and his David which he created for his native city of Florence. We will follow the development of his work and the path of his biography to see what we can learn from them about his life of soul.
